Procurement Manager

Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement process, ensuring the acquisition of high-quality goods and services at optimal costs. This role requires strong negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to build relationships with suppliers while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Duties
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities through market research and analysis.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors to secure advantageous agreements.
- Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other procurement-related documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new products to inform procurement decisions.
- Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support in their daily activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a managerial role.
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract management.
- Excellent analytical abilities to assess supplier performance and market trends.
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing procurement processes is a plus.
- Experience in Metal Manufacturing a MUST.
